First let me tell you what they are not! They are not braids,
extensions or any thing requires the use of added hair.
System designed for highly textured (nappy, kinky, curly)
hair. This system uses the natural hair qualities to produce
small "locks" (dreads) that can be styled in the same ways as
relaxed or permed hair. However, while relaxers required
chemicals, Sisterlocks involves no chemicals to be added to
the hair nor does it require extensions or attachments of any
kind.

Sisterlocks does not alter the hair chemically, and therefore
has none of the negative side effects of relaxers, perms or
texturizers (i.e. weakened hair, thin ends, discolorations,
burns, hair breakage, burns or limited hair growth).
Sisterlocks tm does not have to be undone in order to be
tightened. There is no abrasion or loss of hair around the
hairline as with braids. This natural hair technique can be less
expensive in the long run that braids, weaves, extensions,
curls or relaxers.
